This gallery shows images of metal powders: Corundum, Aluminium, Copper, Tin, Titanium, Zinc. The images were obtained using a benchtop Scanning Electron Microscope (SEM), with magnifications between 200x and 2000x. Images have been elaborate with graphics software.

My romantic places
This collection shows images, some unique, from the places that marked my engagement first and then my wedding. Long walks and romantic coffees were the background to the relationship between my wife and me. The sea is the predominant subject, it dominates and makes my city, Naples, spectacular. Walking next to the sea is a wonderful sensation, hearing the smell and the roar of the waves on the rocks, the salty taste of the air all around. Only those who live in a place near the sea can fully understand the charm and appreciate the strength of nature. In these photos, views of the Gulf of Naples have been captured, from Posillipo, Nisida and Bagnoli, to the area of Pozzuoli, Bacoli and Monte di Procida. In some shots the islands of Capri, Procida and Ischia are visible.

Peace for the world
Sometimes the echo of a war comes close enough to remind us how small and stupid we are. The latest in chronological order involves Ukraine. The destruction and death that a war brings with it never teaches anything, the imperative is to arm yourself to induce others to never try to attack. After the Second World War, nuclear weapons began to proliferate, a logo was created to protest, an icon that symbolizes the rejection of all this.
The peace symbol (☮) was created by the British designer and pacifist Gerald Holtom in 1958 and achieved success in the following decade, first in support of the Campaign for Nuclear Disarmament and later more generally of anti-militarism.
A very young 8-year-old artist created this symbol with an android app, Pixel Studio, and reworked it with the representative colors of most of the flags of the countries of the world.

Aluminium alloy.
2000 and 7000 series aluminum alloys, observed with a Leica optical microscope. Magnification 50x and 100x. The main work concerns the preparation of the material to be observed under the microscope, it is necessary to take a small portion of the material and create a mirror surface finish, then the surface is treated with a chemical reagent that highlights the microstructure. The images were manipulated with graphic software.
